We inherited a set of wrought-iron bistro is layer upon layer of peeling paint on it. It is also oxidation. What is the quickest and safest to let the old paint and rust before it is to delete them from the Net?

Naval Jelly works great, and remove the rust. Use this as a viable solution for a dust storm that would be my choice as a professional.
There are several methods exist for removing the color ... You can use a heat gun, a tool to .. Scraping or "Stripper", I suggest that "citrus" ... safe workplace and, or, as others have mentioned, it is sanded or with a "sand blaster.
The weapon is actually the fastest sand ... Need for safety goggles. The particles of sand that blows air through a powered weapon "for removing rust, paint, etc. go in remote areas. Would you do it outside .... hehehe and not point the gun at home ... lol.
