How did a guild acquire its patron saint? - patron saint herpes zoster

I'm curious ... How big business in the Renaissance came to acquire its patron saint? For example, di Arte Calimala (wool merchant) and his patron saint, St. John the Baptist. Have the traditional qualities in relation to them? Thank you!

It really was not the unions, the patron saint had. The profession was a patron, and the trade unions under the direction of extension.

As for the professional manner in which each is assigned a saint, saint characteristics are used to select them. Making the UPS Catholic decisions that they believe that every saint is best suited based. For example, Saint-Nicolas, the patron saint of thieves reform, because it has a sort of Robin Hood figure in his youth.
